He is survived by: his children, Latrice Strings (Marlon), Juanisha Clay, Juan, Jr. and Don Carter; his grandchildren, Travis, Zoe Strings, Kayla, Kyra, Kaliya, Dymond, Jada, Ja'Corey, I, Mari, Juan and Avery Carter; his siblings, Larry of Lexington, Aaron (Diane) of Lexington, John Carter (Teddye) of Lexington, Douglas Duncan (Sharon) of Lexington, Don Carter of Toledo, OH, Clayton Rankins (Doretha) of Paris, Kim Duncan (Lisa) of Lansing, MI, Tonya "Maw" Carter of Lexington, Debra Duncan, Doralitta Tyler, Charlotte Duncan-Smith of Lansing, MI and Tonya McCoy of Cincinnati, OH; his aunts, Lottie Stevenson of Lexington, Shirley Lippett, Geraldine Stevenson, Dlois Mitchell, Brenda Townsend of Detroit and Sharon Courtland of Lansing, Michigan.; his close friend Sherry Lewis; and also Juan Devel "Stink" Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
