He is survived by: his wife Luciana Cruz Alvarado; and his children, Alba Cruz, Evelyn Alvarado Cruz of Lexington, Marcelo Alvarado of Cubulco, Esvin Alvarado of Lexington, Angel Alvarado of Guatemala, Carlos Alvarado of Guatemala and Jose-Luis Alvarado of Chicago.
