She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Simpson and Pearl Simpson Stivers (Oakes); her children, Robert Vaughan, Jr. (Pat) and Barbara Nevius (Mike); her grandchildren, Christopher Andrew, Jonathan Brendan Vaughan, Lee Garland and Jeff Wilson; her sister Katherine Horton; her husband Robert D. Vaughan; and her close friend Forever.

In honor of her legacy, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Tates Creek Christian Church or Sayre Christian Village.
