It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Philip Malick (Lexington, Kentucky), who passed away on August 21, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Malick and Betty Lou Garrison Malick. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Marie Malick; his daughter Cassie Nicholson (Les); his stepchildren, Linda Logue, Kristie Patterson and Jeff Patterson (Jayne); his grandchildren, Emily Wright, Anthony Dobrowlski, Charlie Maze, Jordan Maze, Jake Patterson and Nicholas Logue (Ashleigh); and his great grandchild Cade Logue.

“Dear Dawn and Cassie, John did a lot of photo work for me. During the times that I went there, I always brought my clunky hearing aid so that we could talk, and we talked about photos and history for hours on end. I only wish that I was rich so that I could have been there every week to talk to him and learn from him. He was kind and generous, and restored precious photos that I will always treasure. I will miss him, as I know both of you will as well. My deepest condolences to you both.”
