He was predeceased by: his parents, Abel F. Burke and Mary Hollowell Burke. He is survived by: his wife Martha Nichols Burke; his children, Ashley Burke of Nicholasville, KY and David Burke (Brandy) of Clovis, NM; his grandson Andrew Burke; and his siblings, Jeannie Bentley, Jim Burke (Janet) of Henderson, KY. and Jeff Burke (Janet) of Henderson, KY..

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Baptist Church Music Program and/or Lexington Singers and/or Lexington Chamber Chorale.
