He was predeceased by: his parents, Burg Gibson and Elizabeth Chiles Stone. He is survived by: his children, Brittney Bethany and John Burg Stone Jr.; his grandchildren, Nathan Stone, Lauren Jones and Shaunte Stone; and his brother William "Buddy" Stone (Mary Lou).
