He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Grobstein and Sarah Grobstein. He is survived by: his wife Connie Grobstein; and his children, Alan L. Haefele, Jr. (Andrea), Evelyn Scott Stansberry (Jeff), Katherine Welleford (Robert) and Donald W. Haefele (Debbie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Adath Israel and Hadassah.
