She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert and Mary L. Combs (Kilgore); and her brother Gay P. Combs Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Jack E. Whitaker; and her children, Jacquelin Murphy (Joe), Elmer K. Whitaker (Briget) and John Whitaker (Misty). She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
