It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Prather Stephens of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Versailles, Kentucky, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, H. M. Prather and Corrine Montgomery Prather; and her siblings, Helen Simmons, Martha Larison, H. M. Prather Jr., Donnie Gene Prather and Buddy Wayne Prather.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Stephens McVay (Larry) and Gwendolyn Stephens Gabbard (William); her granddaughters, Jennifer McVay Martin (Jim), Crystal McVay Shepard (Berkley) and Kayla Gabbard Mitchell (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Connor Martin, Reagan Martin, Braxton Shepard and Lincoln Shephard.
