She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Persley and Nannie Persley; her husband Booker T. Jones; her brother Elijah Persley; her son Steven Grimes; and her stepdaughter Rosalie Clarkson.

She is survived by: her daughter Jonnie Adams-Jones (Illya); her grandsons, Ceyarri "Poppi" Adams and Steven Grimes, Jr.; and her stepgrandchildren, Mary Ann Jones and Booker T. Jones, Jr.. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins extended family and friends.
