He is survived by: his wife Lucy; his children, Ann Rice Dotterweich (Dan), John Lamar Rice, James Waite Wilson, III (Petra) and Lucy Wilson Richmond (Jim); his grandchildren, Sarah Dotterweich Quezada (Billy), Mary Dotterweich Brooks, James Thomas Rice, III (Jake), Camille West Richmond, Lucy Deupree Richmond, Anna Wilson, Elishka and Kuba Wilson; his great grandchildren, Gabriella Quezada, Sam Brooks, Isaac Quezada and Solly Brooks; and his brother William David Rice (Ann).
