He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hensley and Fannie Turner Hensley; his daughter Lakeysha Martin Adams; and his siblings, Howard E. Hensley, Ray Hensley, Betty Sue Hensley and Gladys Jane Fletcher.
He is survived by: his wife Rachael Abner Hensley of Lexington; his sons, Bo Bo Hensley, Austin Hensley and James Melvin Hensley II; his grandchildren, Micky Ray Adams and Laylynn Adams; and his siblings, Edna Nation, Wanda Turner, Thomas Arnold Turner and Irvine Willie Hensley. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and Friends.
