He was predeceased by: his former wife Kayleen D. Florence; his parents, James H. Florence and Frances M. Florence; his sister Joyce M. Florence; and his stepson Jeffrey S. Gieringer.

He is survived by: his wife Wilda L. Florence; his children, Dayna Lykins (David), Jay Gieringer (Carol), Stephanie Adams (Anthony), Jim Florence (Brandon Cress) and Julie Knight (Thomas); and his sister Patricia J. Florence. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
