We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2020, at the age of 89, James Arthur Akin (Lexington, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Akin; his son Shaun Akin Leslie Roberts (Neil); and his stepchildren, David Reese (Susan) and Kathleen Mattox (Tim). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Contributions in memory of James may be made directly to Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church.
