It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Allen Knoblett (Lexington, Kentucky), born in Palestine, Illinois, who passed away on November 12, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Esther Swinger Knoblett; and his sons, Jeffrey Allen and Joel Dwight Micah. He is survived by: his wife Carole Payne Knoblett; his sons, James Dirk (Lisa Kaye), Jay Scott (Dian) and Joshua Thomas (Tamela); his brother John Knoblett (Kathy) of Champaign, IL; and his sister-in-law Jennifer Hoagland of Noblesville, IN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
