It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jackie P. Columbia of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert "Jack" and Lydia Katherine "Kitty" Blount Penn. She is survived by: her husband Donald Lee Columbia; her sons, Donnie Columbia (Maryann) of Clark County and John Robert Columbia of Lexington; her grandchildren, Lauren Charles (Steve) of Clark County, John Columbia of Lexington, Maria Columbia of Lexington and Savannah Columbia of Lexington; her great grandchild Adlee Charles; and her brother Gene Ray Handy (Rosa) of Plano, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services will be private at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road with private burial to follow in The Lexington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1409 Versailles Rd., Lexington, KY 40504 or Shriners Children's Hospital, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508 or the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital, 800 Rose St., Lexington, KY 40536.

“I was so sorry to learn of Jackie's passing. She was such a nice lady. She had been preparing my taxes since 1977. I truly looked forward to seeing her every year. I doubt if many people can say that about seeing their tax preparer but I'm sure anyone that knew Jackie would say the same. I had referred so many others to her over the years. I know she will be greatly missed. Tom Young”
