He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Young Barnett; his mother Rose Brown; and his brothers, Steven and Phillip Barnett. He is survived by: his children, Willis Barnett (Diana) of Lexington and Julia "Callie" Byrd (Nathaniel); his granddaughters, Hailey Paige, Leighton Elizabeth Barnett, Talia Thompson and Bridget Adelaide Byrd; and his sisters, Anita Buzzard (Greg), Valerie Krentz (Mark) and Brother Jerry Barnett.
