He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Meadows and Frankie Pauley Meadows; and his siblings, Katie Frances Coffey, Linda Jarrell, Max, Leon and Larry Meadows.

He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Sue Cobb Meadows; his sons, Mark Meadows (Scarlett) of Nashville, TN, David Meadows (Regina) of Lexington and Jonathan Meadows (Catherine) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Peyton, Anna, Kylie, Ethan, Charles, Hazel, Christina, Meghan, Zachary and Benjamin Meadows; and his brothers, Donald Meadows of Raleigh, NC and Clyde "Butch" Meadows of Denver, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
