She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Horlacher and Vaneta Horlacher; her former husband Joseph C. Evans, Sr.; her daughter Elizabeth Evans Cooke (Bill); her daughter-in-law Lida Henderson Evans; and her brother-in-law John Saindon.
She is survived by: her son Joseph Carson Evans, Jr. (Janet); her grandchildren, Rachel Shircliff Carpenter (Charles), Joseph Carson Evans III, Anne Helen Evans (Francisco Léniz) and Jackson Charles Evans; her great grandchild Corabell Carpenter; her sister Frances Horlacher Saindon; and her husband Joe Evans. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family asks that visitors wear masks if attending the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington or the Horlacher Scholarship Fund at the University of Kentucky.
