He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Tackett and Laura Tackett of Owen County, KY; and his brother Marvin Tackett (Barbara Stivers Tackett) of Owen County, KY. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew H. Tackett of Westfield, IN and John L. Tackett of Roswell, GA.; his grandchildren, Justin, William Tackett, Madison Tackett of Westfield, IN, Morgan Tackett of Evansville, IN and Seth Tackett of Camp Pendleton, CA; his great grandchild Zebadiah Tackett Nault of Westfield, IN.; and also, Brenda Kraft of Knoxville, TN and Paula Tackett of Westfield, IN..

Donations may be made to the Week of Compassion fund of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ denomination.
