With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gwendolyn Maples Lessig of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Hughie Martin Maples; her husband Claude Alpherd Lessig; her siblings, Hughie Maples and Myrtle Dixon; and her brothers-in-law, William T. Lessig and J. B. Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Lane (Roger), Pamela Lessig Kromski, Jill Lessig and C. Alan Lessig (Robbyn); her grandchildren, Grant Owens (Alexandra), Calvin Lane, Doug Lane, Claire Lessig and Claudia Lessig; her nieces and nephews, Susan Hutchinson (Joe), Cindy Arneson (Steve), Michael Lessig and Craig Lessig; and her great-niece Jenny Hutchinson.
