He was predeceased by: his parents, Afton McHenry and Janis Hays Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Smith; his children, Angela Honeycutt (Harold) of Jeffersonville, KY, Bryan Smith (Gina) of Lexington and Michael Goforth (Michelle) of Lexington; his grandchildren, JT McCoy II, Granby Seth McCoy, Haley Brooke Honeycutt, Afton Jacob Smith, Sarah Grace Smith, Michael Shane Goforth and Brittany Cierra Goforth; his great grandchildren, Jesselyn Rodriguez, Elena Rodriguez, Myiah Rodriguez and Kaison Broughton; his brother Doug Smith (Peggy) of Lexington; his niece RaSonda Smith of Lexington; and his nephew Travis Smith of Frankfort. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
