Genett Lorell Ison Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genett Lorell Ison of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Keaton, Kentucky, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Jerry Denver; her husband Bill Spencer Ison; her parents, Erie Malinda and T. "Tommy" Bailey; her siblings, Jewell Evelyn LeMaster, Edna Hildreth Cox, Andrew Lowell Bailey and James Holman Bailey; and her nieces and nephews, Malinda Cox Murray, Cheryl Bailey Day, Billy J. Brown, Ernest Brown, Jimmy Cox and Lowell Allen LeMaster.
She is survived by: her daughter Deana Mae; her son-in-law Blair Dawson; her grandchildren, David Wayne Redwine Jr., Jared Spencer Ison and Morgan Celeste Dawson; and her siblings, Willadene B. Skaggs and Thomas Lurray Bailey. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators who took such loving care of Genett in her final days; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital whose mission touched Genett's heart, or Fayette Chapel United Baptist Church which fed her soul.
