He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Souder and Stella Hammond Souder. He is survived by: his wife Irene Hardin Souder of Lexington; and his siblings, Ramona Peddicord of Walton and Larry Souder (Carol). He is also survived by his many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Institute for Cancer Research, Lexington Humane Society and Hospice of the Bluegrass.
