He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hurd and Helen Lily Hurd; and his siblings, Judy Stevens, Sherry Kakar and Timmy Hurd.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Treadway of Lexington, Beverly Hurd of Lexington, Gary "Yogi" Hurd Jr. of Lexington and Saundra Atkins of Frankfort; and his brothers, Randy Hurd of Nicholasville and Ricky Hurd of Lexington. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
