He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ward and Ethel Ward; and his siblings, Cleo, James, William, Vernon and Barbara Ann Kauppi.

He is survived by: his sisters, Eloise Del Campo of Tracy, CA and Joetta Buckler (Harold) of Lexington.
