She was predeceased by: her parents, Clell Blackburn and Thelma Blackburn (Plymale); her siblings, Glendora Helvey (Thadus), Benjamin Blackburn and Jerry Blackburn; her niece Deidra Helvey Wagner; and her sister-in-law Sharon Finnell Blackburn.

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Gail Spedding-Bruns (Kevin); her grandchildren, Savannah, John Robert and Elizabeth Spedding; her nephews, Mark Blackburn and David Blackburn (Diane); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Haley Wagner, Kennedy Blackburn, Kamryn Blackburn, Justin Price (Tabitha), Daniel Price (Kenzie) and Shawn Salyers; and her caregivers, Marcia Hicks and Pamela Stoltz.
