He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Gray Parker; and his parents, Arthur Parker and Della Parker. He is survived by: his son Michael Parker (Veronica); his granddaughters, Rachel Parker and Amy Parker; his brother David Parker (Kimberly); and his close friend Linda Moore Railsback. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lexington Humane Society and the American Diabetes Association.
