With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emmett Calvert of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2024 at the age of 87. As Emmett departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Emmett may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Emmett leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Calvert and Minnie Calvert; and his brother Glenn Calvert. He is survived by: his wife Violet Stafford Calvert; his sons, Brad (Sarah Jane) and Eric Calvert (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Cate, Brandon and Ellie Gray Calvert.
