He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Rawlins Lay; his daughter Kimberly Koch; his grandsons, Jacob Anderson Koch, John Michael Dickerson and Gregory Haden Dickerson; and his siblings, Jewell Dean Edwards, Glenn Douglass Lay and Teresa Ann Stamper.
