He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Paul Becksted and Mary Florence McMenama; his daughters, Tina Harrison, Jenny Coddell and Missy Brumley; and his grandson Robert.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie Becksted; his son Dougie Becksted of Lexington, KY; his stepchildren, Lisa Short of Lexington, KY and Jack Mobley of Union, KY; and his sister Cindy Goff of Winchester, KY..
