It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Marie Garner of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Gene Garner; her parents, Nelson Tankersley and Marie Tankersley; and her daughter Joyce Garner (Lexington) of Memphis, TN. She is survived by: her sons, H. Jeff Garner (Becky) of Lafayette, CA and Eric A. Garner of Lexington, KY; and her grandchildren, Craig, Chad, Ross, Luke, Tess, Grant and Claire. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Porter Memorial Baptist Church's Heart to Heart Ministry for support of widows and widowers would be appreciated.
