He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry David York and Edith Sorrell York; his siblings, David York (Betty), Edwin Ray York (Dorothy), Wayne York, Ruby Bristow (Parker), Birdie Moore (Jimmy), Naomi Copher (William) and Joyce Denton (Tommy); and his nieces and nephews, Sheryl Manns, Danita Richardson, Pamela Jones, Mike York, Jeff York, Joe York and Steve Copher.

He is survived by: his siblings, Gary York Sr. (Mary) and Rhonda Davis of Owingsville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and family.
