He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Taylor and Agnes Elizabeth Taylor (VanDyke); his son Todd Deon Garner; and his brothers, Tom Bell Thompson, LeRoy Young and John William Taylor.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Young Taylor; and his children, Carol Taylor-Shim (Kim) of Lexington, Linda Campbell of Missouri City, TX, Edward Garner of Lexington and Gerald Garner of Lexington. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
