It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornella Suzanne Downey (Lexington, Kentucky), who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John William Downey; her daughter Patricia Ann Powers; her parents, Simon "Sim" Smith and Dora Rush of London, KY; and her brothers, Earl Smith, Claude Smith and Eugene Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Lynn Oakley; her grandchildren, Savannah Victoria Chorney and David Patrick Powers; and her great grandchild Rhett Frederick Chorney.
