He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Edward and Helen Mathis Faneuff. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Moody (John) of Riceville, TN and Nick Ransom (Allison) of Harrodsburg; and his grandchildren, Chris Sledge, Matt Sledge, Megan Kirk, John Moody III, Brent Moody, Jami Wilson, Megon Knapp and Eric Potter. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children Medical Center, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508.
