He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Moore and Mary Moore; and his daughter Deborah "Debbie" Moore-Eckler. He is survived by: his wife Willadean; his children, Charles J. Moore, Mary K. Whittingham, James L. Moore and Audrey "Mitzie" Graves; his grandsons, Charles Whittingham and Justin Whittingham; his sister Bonnie Moore-Spastafor; and his niece Jennifer Alexander.
