It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Allan Saunders of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Betty Ballard (Bob); and his parents, Warren Saunders and Estelle Rose Saunders. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stacy Saunders; his children, Charlotte Leedy (David Pienkowski), Juawanna Schuller (Bryce) and Robert Saunders (Melodie); his grandchildren, Matthew Leedy, Troye Leedy (Stefanie), Andrew Saunders (Victoria), Alex Saunders (Kate Grounds), Brenna Platt (Nick) and Luke Schuller; his great grandchildren, Oliver Leedy, Connor Leedy and Booker Saunders; and his sister Linda Stevens (Skip).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the East Hickman Baptist Church (6418 Tates Creek Rd, Lexington, KY 40515). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
