He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Margaret Weidig McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Ripson McGowan; his children, Daniel McGowan (Amy) of Lexington, KY and Amy Wilson (Shane) of Danville, KY; and his grandsons, Connor, Avery McGowan, Benjamin and Michael Wilson.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church (710 Pisgah Pike, Versailles, KY 40383).
