He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Margaret Weidig McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Ripson McGowan; his children, Daniel McGowan (Amy) of Lexington, KY and Amy Wilson (Shane) of Danville, KY; and his grandsons, Connor, Avery McGowan, Benjamin and Michael Wilson.
