It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian James Carlson (Lexington, Kentucky), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Norman; his significant other Cathy Kluthe Carlson; his son Finn; his siblings, Nancy Allen and Gregory Carlson; and his father-in-law William Kluthe.

He is survived by: his mother Micheline Joyce Carlson; his sons, Gus, Max and Huck; his siblings, Don Carlson (Shawna) of Westland, MI, Dave Carlson of Lexington, KY and Erika Carlson of Lexington, KY; his mother-in-law Mary Kay Kluthe; and his siblings-in-law, Sara Flatt of Fort Thomas, KY, Beth Lachmann (Rodney) of Independence, KY, Joanna Lonneman (Patrick) of Independence, KY, Karen Hayes (Brian) of Cornelius, OR, Theresa Yeager (Ray) of Louisville, KY, Joe Kluthe (Kristin) of Independence, KY and Tom Kluthe (Jennifer) of Burlington, KY. He is also survived by nineteen nieces and nephews.
