He was predeceased by: his father George LaVaughn Buchanan; and his brother Richard LaVaughn Buchanan. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Nevius; his siblings, Eleanora Mauritson (late David) of Fairhope, AL and Gregory Lynn Buchanan (Jennifer Beth Briggs) of Austin, TX; his sister-in-law Lorraine Buchanan of Plymouth, MA; and his nieces and nephews, Amy Eleanora Mauritson, Margaret Wilson Buchanan, Rachael Lynn Buchanan, Sarah Ann Buchanan, Jessica Rose Buchanan, Patrick Gregory Buchanan, Julian George Briggs Buchanan and Eric Buchanan Mauritson.
