He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Tillett; his parents, Frank Tillett and Gladys Tillett; his children, Ricky Dean Tillett and Linda Gail Tillett-Murphy; and his siblings, Cecil, Ernest, Tommy Tillett, Lottie May Harney, Betty Louise Powell, Frankie Lee Penn and Wanda Jo Tillett.
He is survived by: his son Billy Tillett Jr. (Dianne); and his sister Elizabeth Spaulding. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Billy Ray's honor.
