He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Hurt and Ena Mae Hurt; his brother Donald Hurt; and his son-in-law Arnold Kirkpatrick. He is survived by: his wife Ann Hurt; his children, William C. Hurt Jr. (Susan) and Julia Hurt Kirkpatrick; his grandchildren, William Chenault Hurt and Anne Kathryn Hurt; and his sister-in-law Pamela Hurt.
