She was predeceased by: her husband William A. Darneal; her parents, Robert Brown Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Brown (Garner); and her brother Jay B. Persley. She is survived by: her children, Kendrick Darneal (DeNyene) and Kelli Garr (Manuel); her stepson Anthony Vinegar (Carla); her grandchildren, Tyler Vinegar, Lorenzo Rowan, Caden Darneal and Ava Garr; her siblings, Barbara "Barkie" Berry, Dwight Brown (Angela), Valerie Bradley (Joe), Kenneth Brown and Virgie DeMerritt; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Persley and Billie Ann Martin (Quinn).
