She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Thompson and Clementine Thompson of Lexington, KY; her sister Linda Higgins; her husband Robert Thurman; her children, Catherine Thurman of Atlanta, GA, Robert Thurman, III (Courtney), Deryck Thurman (Lucretia) and Camille Thurman of Charlotte, NC.; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Elijua, Kerry, Arielle, JaNiya, Kisai, Jeren, Joshua, Dylan, Deryck, Jonah and Dayla; and her siblings, Christine Weathers (James), Connie Mitchell of Lexington, KY, George Thompson, Jr. (Jessie) of New Orleans, LA and Steve Thompson of Lexington, KY. She was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St Peter Claver Catholic Church (410 Jefferson St, Lexington, KY 40508). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Claver Catholic Church (410 Jefferson St, Lexington, KY 40508).
