We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2025, at the age of 90, Betty Jo Hammel McCormick (Lexington, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Katherine Coda Hammel and Leonard John Hammel. She is survived by: her husband Frank B. McCormick; her daughter Susan M. Murrell of Lexington; her granddaughter Ainsley Katherine Jennings (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Trinity Blair Jennings and Enyd Verity Jennings of Paint Lick; her son Frank B. McCormick, Jr. (Laura); and her grandsons, Christian Brandt McCormick and Nathan Andrew McCormick of Pearland, Texas..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Milward Funeral Directors (391 Southland Dr, Lexington, KY 40503). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Nathaniel Patch Piano Competition, 348 Melbourne Way, Lexington, KY 40502 or the UK Arboretum, 500 Alumni Drive, Lexington, KY 40503.
