She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Taylor and Oaker Lee Taylor; and her husband Mitchell Beatty. She is survived by: her son Lewis A. Gill Cobb; her grandchildren, Quinton L. Gill, Monica Gill, Michelle Allen, LaShawnda Lewis, Jay Taylor, Glenn Taylor Jr., Shalo Johnson and Leea Johnson; her great grandchildren, Avonte Lewis, Justin Gill, Isaiah Allen, Lauryn McMillan, Maryah Godfrey, Kayli Taylor, Glenn Taylor 3rd (Trey) and Phillip Taylor (PJ); her friend Marvina Crowders; and her nieces and nephews, Donnie Baker, Dwayne Baker (Carol), Deborah Milton (Allen), Donna Baker and Darrell Baker. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

One sister Mrs. Oma Lee Baker, two daughters: Valerie (Jimmy) Weaver, and Verlene Q. (Alex) Green the daughter she donated a kidney to in 1986.
