She is survived by: her children, Dianne Mays Murray (Dietrich), Timothy Mays (Ronza), James Mays and Richard Mays; her sisters, Joequetta Mays-Jackson, Marilyn Mays-Graves and Rita Mays; her great great grandchild Mazir Mays; her nieces and nephews, Latina Mays-Haley, Rolita Mays, Pathetta Mays, Clarence Mays and Deontai Bates; and her siblings, Jesse Mays and Carolyn Mays-Jackson. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren.
