We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2023, at the age of 86, Betty Gene Emmert (Lexington, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnson Boyd and Lucille Dennis Royse; and her brothers, Johnny, Jerry and Joseph.

She is survived by: her husband John R. Emmert, Jr.; her daughters, Teresa H. Railey and Sherri L. Railey; and her siblings, Loretta Rupard, Geraldine Wallace and David Royse. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
