She was predeceased by: her husband Owen B. Smith; her parents, Buford Durbin and Jeanette Rice Durbin; and her sister Anna Jean Wiseman. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Bocchino (Josh), Buford Smith (Jodi), Nancy Smith, Patrick Smith (Mollie) and Barbara Smith (William Beauchamp); her sister Wilma Wood; and her grandchildren, Diana Willis (Jeremy), David Cavarretta (Julie), Josh Bocchino (Marci), Joshua Smith (Christina), Melissa Cheatham (Michael), Morgan Smith, Sarah Smith, Cora Edscorn and Grant Edscorn. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be sent to Arlington Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky.
